Oh yeah, BTW Eastman over in Kingsport used to make gas from coal DAILY...and since they still have the Coal-Gas section over there they prolly still do.
The coal produced gas from the 80's wasn't primitive...it isn't like it wasn't unleaded. That same gas would be feasible. And, it isn't like we couldn't use it today. The worry is that the big oil refiniries would lose profit...but it would work. Just another example of the gov. feeding the citizens a line of sh!t and half of em buying it.

Possibly, but if you can make diesel fuel and gasoline from coal...you can make diesel, gasoline and jetfuel from coal. The diesel is the finest spray, higher compression ratio, doesn't use a spark to ignite, just compression. BWC just can't admit he doesn't know what he is talking about.
Be done if ya want...talkin to u is like talkin to a wall anyways...ain't gonna hurt my feelings none. And Bob, I wasn't for sure, but I was sandblastin there when that guy fell and died a few years ago. But, gas can be made from coal..the technology exists. You guys can whine and deny all ya want..but it is possible NOW.

The Eastman just has two kilns if I am not mistaken for their Coal Gasification section in Kingsport. Eastman actually has opened up there Coal Gasification to a larger scale production in Louisiana. I believe they have 7 kiln/boilers/chambers, whatever they call them. They can only run 1 at a time in Kingsport, but in La. they run 5 at a time. Its a dangerous job due to the high pressure situations.
